The 18-hole par 72 Erinvale Golf Course is 6500 metres long off the championship tees, through shorter placements to 5130 metres for the ladies. The setting, layout and links conditions make it an exhilerating challenge for all levels of skill.

A spacious clubhouse offering pub meals and quality cuisine along with a sweeping outlook, is situated midway up the estate. This contributes to a sense of two courses - the first nine following gently sloping foothills (soon introducing some intimidating “pot” bunkers) and a very different upper second nine, where the main hazard perhaps is the distraction of dramatic scenic diversity in all directions.
Erinvale, which hosted the 1996 World Cup and two SA Opens, meets superbly the brief of retaining the integrity of the ancient sport while creating sufficient fairway frontage to satisfy the developers’ requirements.
A practice range and lessons strengthen the golf culture, and interested newcomers are guided into the game. There are no caddies so you carry your bag or go by drive cart - also a popular form of general transport bobbing around the estate.
